Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) & related conditions-Assessment and support

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and related hypermobility spectrum disorders are frequently misunderstood and underdiagnosed — particularly in women. At Haworth Health and Wellness, these conditions are approached with the seriousness and nuance they deserve.

EDS and hypermobility-related conditions often co-occur with anxiety, depression, POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and chronic pain — creating a complex picture that standard care often misses.

Assessment and support may include:

  • Comprehensive evaluation of symptoms related to hypermobility and connective tissue disorders

  • Assessment of co-occurring psychiatric conditions including anxiety, depression, and trauma

  • Integrative treatment planning that addresses the mind-body connection

  • Coordination of care with other specialists as needed

  • Support for the emotional and psychological impact of living with a chronic, often invisible condition

EDS is a complex, multisystem condition. Care at Haworth Health and Wellness focuses on the psychiatric and integrative health components of EDS and related conditions, and works collaboratively with other providers for comprehensive management.
