Frequently Asked Questions

What is integrative mental health care?

Integrative mental health care treats the whole person — not just symptoms. At Haworth Health and Wellness, this means combining conventional psychiatric medicine with evidence-informed approaches such as nutrition, targeted supplementation, physical activity, and quality sleep support. The goal is to identify and address the root cause of mental health concerns rather than manage symptoms alone.

Do you offer perinatal mental health support?

Yes. Perinatal mental health is a core specialty at Haworth Health and Wellness. Support is available for mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and postpartum, including prenatal depression, postpartum depression, perinatal anxiety, postpartum OCD, and birth trauma. Care is individualized and takes into account the unique needs of pregnant and postpartum patients.

What does hormone balancing involve?

Hormone balancing at Haworth Health and Wellness begins with a comprehensive functional evaluation to identify underlying hormonal imbalances. Treatment is integrative and may include lifestyle modifications, nutritional support, targeted supplementation, and medication management where appropriate. Conditions commonly addressed include perimenopause, menopause, PMOS (previously PCOS), fatigue, brain fog, and mood changes related to hormonal shifts.

Do you treat substance use disorders?

Yes. Compassionate, evidence-based care is available for individuals navigating substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder.
